June Giveaway

First of all Happy June to all! Can you believe that we're almost halfway through 2013? This year has been flying by. Since it has been flying I haven't been able to do what I've been dying to do: have my fiance, Grant write a guest blog post. I've been toying with the idea for a while of how to actually do it and what he should talk about. Then over the weekend it hit me. Why not let my readers decide?

So here's what we're going to do. I'm going to do an interview with Grant next week about his adventures in India, Japan, and other places around the U.S. he's traveled for work. You guys are going to decide what questions I ask him. Oh and did I mention that there's a giveaway involved? Once you submit your question for Grant either in the comments below or on my Facebook Author Page, your name will go into a drawing to win this awesome bag.

Grant got it from Vododara, India off of a street vendor. It's handmade and completely hand stitched. Below is a close-up of the strap to see the amazing detail that was put into it. I have a couple that he's brought me back the different times that he's gone, so I decided to share the wealth. All you have to do is submit ONE question for me to ask Grant about his travels abroad and you can have a chance to win this gorgeous bag. You have until Thursday, June 6th at 5pm to enter. Then on Friday, June 7th I will pick a winner! And yes you will get to see my awkward video skills again as I will be recording the drawing. Can't wait to see the questions you all come up with! Ask away! :)

I love love love India. The colors in their art and clothing is just amazing. I would ask Grant what was his favorite place to visit and how does the food differ from what we know here as traditional/regional foods. For example Pizza here is very different than what is found in Italy. :)

GORGEOUS!!! I'm with Renee. India is just amazing and I would love to visit one day. It is on my "bucket list." My question to Grant would be: "What myths/misconceptions regarding the various countries you visited have you discovered during your travels?" I had the privilege of attending a district-sponsored seminar at the B.A.P.S. mandir in our town and discovered that what little I "thought" I knew about Hinduism was completely wrong. So, I'd love to hear if Grant has had similar experiences. Thanks for the opportunity to win such a beautiful piece of art!

Oh, Yes, the richness of the culture contrasting with the abject poverty of so many - India is a marvelous place. I would actually turn it around a bit, and ask Grant what it is he misses most of home, while he globe trots. (aside from the obvious answer - which is YOU, Sam.)

I have some sweet (and not so sweet) memories of Japan... My question to Grant is: How would you describe the smell of the streets of Japan you frequented?

LOL, you can bet I'm going to ask about Japan! (Must I keep it to just 1????) What one thing would you say a travel to Japan should absolutely not miss?

Lovely bag! My question to Grant is:

How are you treated by the local population when you visit a new country? For instance: With respect? Slight distrust? Welcomed with open arms?

I have always wanted to visit India!

Since everyone's going international, I'd like to stick with the home states. What's the wildest thing you've encountered on your travels within the states?

I love India! And I've heard you speak of Grant's travels. But I don't think I know why he is travelli.g. What does he do?

What an adventuresome life! I'd love to see in India - especially with my Bangladeshi friend as a guide.

My question would be: Have you ever found yourself somewhere that you were tempted to stay forever (after gathering up the wife, of course!)

My question for Grant: will you be a love and take Sammi to Comicon for your honeymoon? (inquiring minds want to know)
